Learn about the archaeology of Fort Laurens, what future archaeology may hold at Fort Laurens, learn how archaeologists work, and dig in a mock archaeology dig. A costumed guide will lead you on a lantern tour throughout the grounds where you’ll meet soldiers and hear stories about Fort Laurens. You’ll see the Fort’s original location, the site of the hospital, the Tomb of the Unknown Patriot and the cemetery where over a dozen soldiers, killed on site, were buried. To honor all veterans both past and present. Join us for a special wreath laying and ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution at Fort Laurens on November 11 at 1pm.
