Celebrate the coming of spring at this traditional German festival. Maifest celebrations date back to the 10th century, when villagers would gather to celebrate the arrival of spring by planting flowers, playing music and games, and raising a “maipole” in the local square. Likewise, the Maifest at Historic Zoar Village will include lots of German food, drinks, music, games—even make-and-take art projects for kids—and, of course a Maypole!
German Car Show happening during Maifest from 10:30 am- 2:30 pm. There is a $10 registration beginning at 10 am. It will be at the Historic Zoar Village in the lot across from the Zoar United Church of Christ. Corner of Main and 5th Streets
